Greetings from Dushanbe- Grandpa February 20 2011

As seen by the pictures on this blog its easy to see that we are really roughing it. No. Seriously. It has been a wonderful experience, much different than what was expected. The people are nice, and friendly. The weather is good. We spend a good portion of our time shopping for groceries in a little market down the road from our house. The rest of the day is spent with school work, daily chores, and the like. Time seems to fly by!

  1. Dad,
Sounds like it is going great there...really busy! No surprise, but it is still freezing here. Today the wind chill is like -20,but then in a couple days it is supposed to be up to 15-20 degrees above! The Oak grove boys basketball team is undefeated this season (25-0) so they are going to state. This means they cancelled school on Friday for all of the kids!!! Yay private school I guess. Sully loves his new daycare lady Kristi and his new "boy" friends there. Maddyn is going to represent the kindergarten class in the spelling bee on Thursday. We are going to the rodeo at the Fargo Dome on March 25th so we are all excited about that...well not sure Lance is! I got all of my rotations on Friday, and I love them all!!! I pretty much got every one that I wanted! Now the goal is to just survive the semester... We got a camera so we can skype now. We will have to talk about setting a time to do it! Ellie got a really bad haircut. She literally looks like a rat! I told the lady just to trim her hair, but she just kept shaving it shorter and shorter because her hair is so silky that she couldn't get it smooth....Even Ellie is embarrassed about it...she had her tail between her legs for 3 days! Thankfully it has grown out over the last week...Well thats about it for now...
    Talk to you soon!
    Love Jill
