The girls and I had the wonderful opportunity to take an Armenian cooking class from one of the spouses at the embassy. Marina is a native Armenian married to an American. We learned to make the best hummus ever, cottage cheese balls, Armenian Tolma - stuffed grape leaves, and Armenian summer Tolma - stuffed vegetables (all with the needed adaptations to accommodate the availability of ingredients in Dushanbe!) It was all delicious and a fun way to spend a Saturday morning.

I'll try and post......the food looks amazing. Not that too many Giles would eat it!! Sorry. Love all your blogs. We check them almost daily- thanks for writing. Makes me miss you a little tiny bit less. Thanks too for changing that lt. blue color. It was pretty, but my old eyes had trouble reading it :). Xoxoxo

Looks very yummy! Wish I could have been there to eat it. My bil is Armenian - I'll have to ask him if he's familiar with all the food!
